This application allows users to identify mountain peaks by pointing their Android device towards them, displaying essential data such as peak name, altitude, and distance. It proves especially useful for autumn mountain hikes by providing real-time terrain information.

Recent updates have added the display of the trending 'Comet Lemmon' (C/2025 A6) position, enhancing astronomical observation capabilities.

The app has been renamed from "AR Map World Peaks" to reflect its expanded features while maintaining comprehensive data on nearly one million peaks worldwide.

The augmented reality features are sophisticated: even when the camera is tilted, peak names are accurately overlaid on mountaintops utilizing 3D spatial coordinates and gyroscopic sensors, facilitating easy identification.

Guidelines shaped like ridgelines are displayed to aid precise alignment with mountain features, ensuring users can match peak locations accurately.

By tilting the device downward, users can switch to a 3D sky view, offering a broad perspective of terrain and celestial objects.

The application provides detailed terrain and mountain name information visible from specific locations on an integrated map.

Users can capture images that include the mountain names and share them via social media or email directly from the app.

A swipe gesture allows fine adjustment of the displayed mountain label positions to enhance clarity.

All features are available free of charge.

Note: If orientation or direction accuracy is compromised—such as persistent north display—please remove any covers or cases from your Android device. Metallic or magnetic components within cases can interfere with sensor functionality, leading to potential malfunctions.
